Good started books for those interested in superheroes. My son found them interesting, but not as exciting as some of the other books that are geared towards a little more action and adventure. These stories are more introductory to the superhero characters and their powers. The plot is very, very simple. And violence is obsolete. If you’re lookiing for books with real action, suspense and plot… don’t get these and get the DK Readers instead.

This book is on heavy rotation right now for my 3 1/2 yo son. The story is not too strange or violent. Strong on virtue and teamwork. Great illustrations. In other words, perfect! I was going to buy about five more and, alas, they don’t exist!

A real favorite here. It intros the superheroes and is geared towards little ones. Much to my son’s dismay, no females are in this series, you have to go to Justice League if you want to see Wonder Woman and Hawk Girl, apparently they have not been deemed toddler friendly (their outfits might have something to do with that, or perhaps little boys wanting a Wonder Woman costume wasn’t something anyone wanted! Ha!)

The punch outs are nice, but of course won’t last too well. Once the little strips have been lost, consider cutting 1/2″ circles from a paper towel or tp roll and stapling that to them for stability.

I have a 3 and a half year old son who is all about superheroes. This book gives him a good intro to the superfriends and more ideas for his imagination. We read the book before bedtime and then he’ll keep it in his bed to sleep with him all night.

My son, who is almost 3, loves super heroes and is a big fan of the DC Super Hero Action Figures. He found this book and had to have it. I couldn’t resist either. It is interesting because it gives the information on the 5 super heroes in one side of the book and then the other side is a story of how all the friends join together to save Superman. It is a very good lesson in friendship. And my son loves the punchout figures as well. They, of course, aren’t very durable, but for the price, I would definitely say worth it.
